Francesca's Collection **love this store**

If there is ever a store that I would go to for Senior pics this is where it would be.  This store has it all...clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry, belts and sunglasses (even some household decorations)!!  With all of those items being sold you would start envisioning a department sized store, but that is the beauty of this place.  It's a very quaint boutique style store, with clothing lined up on the walls and coordinating outfits directly above those pieces and the purses just in a arms reach!  If you need inspiration just look around and if your looking for something a little different then what you  see ask the helpful staff.  You can't go wrong with any outfit here!!

Ashley and Nate

Over my weekend (Tuesday to be precise) I had the opportunity to photograph a person who is near and dear to my heart.  A person that was always by my side growing up and whom I shared many secrets and adventures with.  So when she asked if I could photograph her maternity session it was a no brainer.  This was another chance to share a special time in her life and a capture these memories.  I can't wait for baby Mason to make his grand entrance into this world and if he even has a smidgen of Ashley or Nates humor, sensitivity and good looks he will be one wonderful child.

Baby Chloe

On Wednesday I was ecstatic to have my 2nd newborn shot where I had the pleasure of meeting the 18 day old Chloe and her 3 brothers.  As you can tell from the picture below the Reilly family had their hands full already but always knew that they wanted 4 children.  Being a mom I know that you always pray for a healthy baby, but I can wholeheartedly admit I often dream about having a baby girl, and so did this family.  Lucky for them not only were they blessed with a daughter but a awfully gorgeous one at that!!  I can't wait to work with this family in the future....Enjoy the pictures :)

First Newborn

On Monday May 16th I was able to photograph this sweetheart below.  Little baby Taylen was 18 days old and bright eyed the entire shoot, only sleeping 5 minutes total in her mommas arms.  This will always be a special session for me because it was the first newborn shot I've ever done and am so so so excited with how the pictures turned out.

(got her just in time as she was closing her eyes!!)

Introducing Sara

Everyone get to know my 4th 2012 Senior Rep Sara Fiksdal!  She is absolutely beautiful and so comfortable in front of the camera (made my job too incredibly easy)! Not only is she gorgeous but she is extremely smart and is all in all a very well rounded teenager.  I can't wait to work with her through out this coming school year and see what her future has in store for her!!

Brag Books

I am so excited to show everyone these amazing little "brag" books!  I call them brag books because they are the perfect size (2.5x3 or 3x3) to carry along and showcase your pics to friends and family or even present them as a gift to your grandparents (you know the gma and gpa are always pulling out your photos to show everyone that pass by lol).  The books contain about 13 different photos including on the front and back cover. Also for those that have massive purses (guilty as charged) you wont have to worry about the books opening on their own because the covers are magnetized so they stay shut!!

Introducing Jocelyn Patterson

Last Monday I met up with one of my Senior Reps. Jocelyn. Isn't she just beautiful?  You will be seeing a bunch more of her in the next few posts and possibly through out the year.  I ordered her senior rep cards (who knows she might hand one to you) along witha little "brag" book to show friends and family all of her beautiful pics! If you receive any Senior Rep card from a Katrina Amburgey Photography, bring it your session for 10% off your session package! (only one per session please)

Spring?

April shower bring May flowers? That's typically true unless you're still getting snow forecasted in your weekly weather report during April.  Crazy?...yes!  One thing I can tell anyone is being a "Washingtonian"  I take advantage of any sort of sun we have during Spring and especially is true this season. So when it hit 60 degrees you know we were outside and soaking that vitamin D in :)  Along with a few extra sun rays I am looking forward to a couple other things once the weather turns around.....

#1) Ethan not playing video games, computer games or handheld games (he is a tech nerd)
and instead go outside and play like a boy and dig in the dirt

2) I can't wait to go outside and do some "exploring" to see those little wheels turning in JJ's head as he sees, hears and feels new things.

3) Finally getting some color around my house (it was starting to look a little drab)

4) And finally FINALLY getting some leaves on all our trees lol (it still looks like winter)

5) And last by certainlty not least just looking forward to spending more quality time with my kids outside and build lasting memories :)

Easter - Together at last (i know once again a bit late in the posting lol)

I love love love the holidays!  Unfortunately working at a 911 call center full time I don't always have the opportunity to make it to family functions, birthday parties or certain holiday events. When I can though I cherish those precious memories.  Easter this year was held at my Aunts beautiful house in Issaquah where she had this wonderful set up
The place cards were paper flower cutouts with a mini cupcake wrappers in the center containing yummy assortments of candy in shape if eggs

Another thing about family get togethers that I love is seeing the young ones.  I swear when you don't see someone in a couple months they seem sooooo much older. These kiddos are my 2nd? cousins (not really sure how it works..but they're my aunts children)

I just looooovvveee the curly hair

My Little JJ just content playing by himself as usual

This is the first Easter that in over 5 years that we've all been together.  It feels nice to finally have my 2 sisters and mom back.

And lastly another reason why I love holidays is guilt free eating lol :)
